Surfrider activists and chapters in Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Costa Rica, Europe, Japan and the USA will be participating in a global beach clean up during the weekend of March 23-25, 2007. Created and managed by Surfrider Europe, the Ocean Initiative is in its 12th year. In 2006 over 6,500 volunteers cleaned up beaches in Europe and South America, and hundreds more are expected this year.
